Light the way for summertime by building a lighthouse with us and your little one! Buy a craft bag in the gift shop or do it at home! Each month we will do a new craft! On scheduled open gallery days, kids can do the craft in Kids Cove! Our first month is a DIY lighthouse!
Supply List:
- Clear plastic cup
- Tea light (battery operated)
- Red and white paint
- Small paintbrush
- Aluminum foil
- Cardboard tube
- Tape
- Black construction paper or marker

Craft Guide
Here’s how to do it.
- Paint your tube in red and white stripes
- Cover one end of the tube in tape for the tea-light to sit on
- Place tealight on tape
- Place clear cup on top of tealight and cardboard tube
- Decorate your tube with a door, windows, and any other decorations you want.
- Crumble 3-5in square pieces of aluminum foil to make rocks
- Glue rocks around the base of the lighthouse
- Turn on the tealight to show the way for any boats coming to you!
