Offshore Wind Drinks – Houston

Hosted By National Wildlife Federation – Free event. Please sign up to attend

For nearly twenty years, Texas has led the nation in producing wind power. Texas now hosts nearly 20,000 active wind turbines—more than the next three states (Iowa, Oklahoma, and California) combined! Offshore Wind presents a remarkable opportunity for Texas to continue its role as a maritime industry and energy leader. Enthusiastic support and advanced planning will ensure that Texas is ready to advance responsible offshore wind development in the years to come.

The National Wildlife Federation invites you to join us for Offshore Wind Drinks on Wednesday, August 26th, at 6 pm CDT, at the Houston Maritime Center and Museum.

This event will feature guest speaker Janet Harreld, the Executive Director of the Office of Continuing Education at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD).

Join us to learn more about UHD’s Wind Turbine Technician Program and the ways that Texas is already contributing to the development of offshore wind energy on the East Coast.

Come mix and mingle while learning about this emerging, reliable energy option that is producing power and creating high-quality jobs.

We hope you’ll join us!
