Houston Maritime Center & Museum aims to be the link between the maritime industry and the greater Houston population. Houston was founded along Buffalo Bayou and has served as a port for the city’s entire existence. Houston Maritime Center & Museum is dedicated to helping connect the nearly 7 million people in the Houston metro area and the thousands of longshoremen, sailors, pilots, refiners, drivers, engineers, and others who help make Port Houston the second largest port in the country.

In addition to bridging the educational gap between the industry and the community, Houston Maritime Center & Museum is dedicated to being a resource for the industry, connecting businesses and individuals whose livelihood revolves around the port with educational lectures, formal training events, and industry networking to help serve the maritime community.
