Houston Maritime Center, in partnership with Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business, is proud to present this program featuring official Titanic historian, Don Lynch. In 2001, Don Lynch accompanied James Cameron, renowned Director and Academy award winner, on an expedition to the RMS Titanic, resulting in the 3-D, large-format film “Ghosts of the Abyss.”  This was the first expedition to explore the wreck’s interior extensively, utilizing robotic cameras designed for this purpose.  Hear Don’s description of this adventure and learn what was discovered deep inside the ship. See images of the wreck site and how they compared to historic photographs taken before the tragedy. Check-in will begin at 5:30 pm with light refreshments and open with students from the Shepherd School of Music playing compositions of the era. The one-hour presentation will begin at 6:30 pm with questions to follow.
